Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1) RTM Build Leaked

On Friday, Microsoft confirmed that it had recently released to manufacturing (RTM) the very final build of Windows 7 Service Pack 1. The software giant has sent the build to its close OEM partners and the final copy has unexpectedly leaked to the Internet before Microsoft’s official web release. Build number for Windows 7 SP1 RTM is 7601.17514.win7sp1_rtm.101119-1850 which means that it was compiled on 19th November 2010.

According to WinRumors, Windows 7 SP1 will include RemoteFX which will provide rich 3D experience for remote computing.

RemoteFX is a new enhancement to RDP’s graphical remoting capabilities. The idea behind RemoteFX is to allow for a full remote experiences including multiple displays, Aero and multimedia streaming to all types of client devices including low cost thin clients. RemoteFX achieves this by using a technique known as host-based rendering. This technique allows for the final screen image to be rendered locally on the remote PC after being compressed and sent down to that remote host. The enhancements are expected to greatly improve video streaming across remote sessions which is currently one of the major drawbacks of virtualized computing.

How to block pop-ups in your browser

Pop up windows creates a lot of mess these days and a they also create a lot of annoyance. Pop-Up windows have some ads or they can have some sign-up forms or there can anything in them. There are many ways to overcome this problem.

                                   So in this post I am going share a few ways through which you can block Pop-Up windows but before continuing I shall tell you that blocking pop ups depends on different browser.

 So I am going to share how to block pop ups in different browsers. This tutorial goes like this –

1. Mozilla Firefox

• Click “Tools”.
• Now click “Options”.
• Now open the “Content” tab.
• In the content tab make sure you check the check box which says “Block Pop-Up windows.”
• Save the settings.

Note: By default the check box is already checked.

2. Internet Explorer

• Click “Tools”.
• Click “Internet Options”.
• Open the “Privacy” tab.
• Check the check box which says “Turn on Pop-up Blocker”.
• Save the settings.

3. Opera

• Click “Tools”.
• Now click “Preferences”.
• Now open the “General” tab.
• Now click either “Block unwanted pop-ups” or “Block all pop-ups” from the drop down menu by the “Pop-ups” section.
• Save the settings.

4. Google Chrome

• Click the “Wrench” option.
• Now click “Options”.
• Now open the “Under the hood” tab.
• Now click “Content Settings” under the “Privacy”.
• Now click the Pop-Up section on the left.
• Now click the bubble next to “Do not allow any site to show pop-ups.”
• Save the settings.

UPDATED: Adobe Flash Player 10.2 Released

UPDATE: Adobe have released the final version of Flash Player 10.2. The software is finally out of the beta stage, so if you want to download it, you can get it from here. 

Adobe has announced that a new beta version of their Flash Player is now available for download on Adobe Labs. The 10.2 beta boasts a new Stage Video API that the company claims drastically improves hardware acceleration of video playback.

Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo

More than a week ago, we found out the Xperia Halon was being renamed the Xperia Neo. Since then, there has been a video previewing the smartphone. There are also a couple of snapshots plus some HD videos shot from the Xperia Neo.

                                                            The preview of the Xperia Neo shows how well the smartphone handles navigation. The transition between different menus is fluid and the animations look really cool. What we cannot judge from this video is whether Neo is multitasking in the background or not. Also, the device is not running any demanding applications or some games. Check out the video below.

 

Apart from the video, there are also some image grabs taken from the Xperia Neo. But apparently, the images have been resized to 2 Megapixels only.

                                                              Most likely, Sony Ericsson’s Vivaz handsets would not have any next-generation experience. Not only the name is going to fade, but new rumors from inside Sony Ericsson are pointing to the device which was leaked few days back with a new name. It’s going to be launched by naming it the Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo. Although it wears some design lines similar to the old Vivaz, the Android technology is expected to be way ahead compared to its predecessor.
                                                                 The device is expected to be disclosed at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. This means that it would be showcased alongside  SE’s Xperia Arc and yet-to-be-announced Xperia Play, among Sony Ericsson’s fleet of smartphones.
                                                                 Finally, there are a couple of videos shot in HD. The first looks pretty good but the second is not that impressive in comparison.                                                                     Hallon’ – Sony Ericsson’s upcoming smartphone has been thoroughly screened at Mobile-Review. The smartphone is referred to as Vivaz 2 (by reviewer Eldar Murtazin), but Hallon is the rumored name given to the smartphone. The smartphone looks like an improvised version of Vivaz with certain tweaks by throwing Symain out of the window and going in favor of Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Having all this, it still manages to get a positive review and has updated features  such as display to       480 x 854 resolution, and the 1 GHz MSM7630 CPU paired with Adreno 205 graphics. Hallon also features an 8-megapixel camera with EXMOR R sensor at the back and capable of recording video of  up to 720p resolution which is same as that of Xperia Arc.
