New HP Printer Comes With an Android Tablet

Many of you who are in the market for a new printer, copier, scanner, or a multifunction device may have noticed some products in this category with a tablet-like control method. However,Geek.com reports that the HP Photosmart eStation C510a actually comes with a fully Web-functioning Android tablet.
“Well, for starters, HP didn’t just make a printer running Android. They made a printer that serves as a dock for an Android tablet that has complete
control of the printer even when it is not docked… What’s more is that if you don’t feel like doing any of this from your office, or wherever you have the printer, you can just pull that 7-inch screen out and walk away with it as a full-fledged Android tablet.”
According to the report, the tablet component of this HP Photosmart eStation C510a printer runs on Android 2.2 and is called the Zeem. It is somewhat limited in function, but seems to offer standard tablet features that you will find in various other Android devices.
“There is no access to Adobe Flash, making the browser somewhat less functional in comparison to existing tablets. However, the tablet does come with a third party app store and the ability to side-load apps, so the sky is the limit as far as how you decide to use your Android Tablet. The Zeem effectively makes the C510a a printer, and ebook reader, a photo editor, and a web browser all in one chunky 7-inch tablet.”
If you are in need of a printer and have an interest in tablets, this may be a perfect solution for you. You can purchase it from the HP online store for only $329.
